Summary

This position assures quality of incoming raw materials, formulate ingredients to produce cone batter and conducts quality checks of finished product. Also responsible for packing finished cone products, visual inspection of cones and palletizing products when not in the mix room. 

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the mixing area by blending ingredients on an ongoing consistent basis within specifications; to formulate batter which is pumped to ovens for cone manufacturing
  • Perform repetitive work to pack cones into packaging for shipping
  • Monitors quality of finished product and communicates problem to Oven Operator, Quality Tech, and Supervisor
  • Regular clean-up of mix tanks, pipes, and room
  • Performing quality assurance testing of both incoming raw materials and finished cone product and recording of information
  • Filling out mix room production reports
  • Sets up packaging to prepare for packing and shipping
  • Stacks finished goods cases for palletization
  • Applies labels on packing materials
  • Adherence to the company attendance policy is required, which includes expectations of punctuality and limited unapproved absences

Essential Functions

  • Lift up to 50 lbs. on an occasional basis
  • Push or pull with up to 50 lbs. of force on an occasional basis
  • Any lifting of over 50 lbs. requires a team lift
  • Stoop, kneel, climb or squat on an occasional basis
  • Use hands to grip, pinch, handle, reach, or feel on a frequent basis
  • Stand on a continuous basis and walk on a frequent basis
  • Possess manual dexterity
  • Able to perform repetitive tasks up to 12 hours per day

Qualifications

  • ​​Ability to read, analyze and follow directions​ in English
  • Ability to apply formulas and mathematical concepts
